  6. Apply a layer of the finishing chemical compound with a plastic spatula and permit it dry.

  7. Repeat Step 6 until you take obscured the repair.  (Y'all may want to gently absorb the final coat of finishing compound with a sponge to add a texture to the finishing compound and further match your leather).
